Boys Room Makeover
My client was expecting a baby girl and needed to upgrade her 4 year old son’s furniture to “big boy” furniture so that they could use the nursery furniture for the little girl on the way. Her son really wanted bunk beds and this client has a very large extended family that visits often, so we found these double queen size bunk beds from Restoration Hardware that worked perfect in this room and could host many friends. We loved the industrial design and accented with grey, white, and navy. We upgraded the light fixture from a builder grade older 90’s fixture to an industrial flush mount that blends with this design.
The best part of the room is also the pallet wall we added as an accent. We had our handyman build this out of pine from Home Depot, and then accented with a vinyl airplane decal and framed airplane prints from Etsy. The navy and white stripped curtains really add a pop of color to the room and block the light.
On the far side of the bunk beds, we added a reading corner complete with pillows and a light-up wall mounted moon (her son’s favorite accessory!) We love the way this room turned out and are so happy that her son loves it too.
